Week 4 means it’s BATHROOM WEEK!

Last week, kitchen, was a big category so this week is a much smaller. That said, the bathroom can become a place to store random items: books and toys for bath time, clothes iron….

Whilst it can be a miscellaneous graveyard, it should be a place of pride; where we clean, get dressed up, repair and relax. What do you see in your vision of your bathroom? You might want beautiful perfume or aftershave bottles displayed nicely, easy morning routines, fewer choices (bathroom products are often a favourite for gifts!).

DIVISION

Bathroom category is divided into the following:

- Hair products

- Brushes, combs

- Skin care; creams, lotions

- Hygiene care; nails, cotton buds, tweezers

- Cosmetics

- Candles and aromatherapy

- Consumables; tissue, toilet paper

- Medicine

Towels will be addressed in Week 6 (May 10th) but you can declutter them here if you have time and want to be complete.

As always, gather in one place and divide into keep vs discard. With many bathroom products, it’s worth going through and asking yourself if you WANT it, but also to reflect on how OLD it is. Products have a symbol to indicate how long after they’ve been opened they should be disposed of.

If discarding items, think about the container it’s in; for example, empty glass and plastic receptacles can be recycled, rather than just thrown away in general trash.

POSITION

Organise your items into areas; I have dental, make-up area, hair, nail, hair removal and beauty products areas in the drawers, whilst perfumes displayed nicely as well as most frequently used products are in the cupboard.

Good luck this week!
